It’s Been 9 Years Already?!

12 years ago I met Tony, 10 years ago he asked me to marry him, 9 years ago today Tony took that leap of faith and made a promise to me to forever be my husband….I don’t know if he knew what he was getting himself into!

I am confident enough to say that Tony and I are pretty solid in our marriage. People would tell us when we were newlyweds, just wait, the first 2 years of marriage are the hardest, but keep strong! By the time we got to our 5 year, we kept wondering, when will the “hard part” of marriage come? Have we had arguments? Have we had times where frustration at each other go the best of us? Have we made each other cry? Have we had to apologize to each other? Yes, Yes, Yes, and Yes. But through it all we have been able to solve our problems and I can honestly say we have not gone to bed angry at each other. Even if that meant we were up until 1:00 am.

From someone looking from the outside into the relationship that Tony and I have, they definitely say that Tony is the more emotional and caring one who loves to hold hands and I am the more assertive and honest one who avoids PDA like the plague. Throughout the years we have worked on our communication, love languages, dating one another, physical affection (more for me working at that one), respect, and the list could go on.

Tony and I have decided to interview each other and make up questions regarding us or our relationship. Keep reading if you dare…..

Tiffanie interviewing Tony:
1.       When you hear my name, what is the first thing that pops into your head
a.       Pretty
2.       Did you always know you would get married? If not what changed your mind?
a.       No……you changed my mind
3.       What is your favorite thing about me?
a.       Your energy and desire to do and learn new things
4.       What is your favorite memory with me?
a.       Uhhhhh so many memories! Can’t nail down just one, but some of the highlights would be, trips with you to the Oregon Coast. Picnics and movies in the park during the summer. Those are two of the highlights. OH and playing tennis on Wednesdays when we lived in Bellevue.
5.       Did you think our wedding was everything you ever imagined it to be?
a.       I never really imagined my wedding, so I had no expectations. But yes, it was really fun.

Tony interviewing Tiffanie:

1.       When did you first know you liked me
a.       When I realized that I would find myself looking for your car outside of college buildings when I would go somewhere and I would get excited when I did see your car.
2.       Why do you know we are going to be married to only each-other for the rest of our lives
a.       Like I wrote in my blog, time goes by fast when you are having fun and the last 11 years have gone by really fast. (Tony: you mean 12 years. Tiffanie: are you sure???)
3.       In what ways are you the best wife (be specific)
a.       I make you food
b.      I make plans for us to go on dates and family things
c.       I talk things out with you
4.       If you could only keep one memory of us, what would it be?
a.       Our first day date on the beach at Ocean Shores
5.       If you could add one thing to our marriage, what would it be?
a.       More dates

As we head into the next year, I believe that once our 10 year anniversary arrives, I will just wonder where have the years gone? They say time goes by fast while you are having fun. This is such an appropriate saying to fit into the marriage of Tony and I. We love the laugh together, we love to experience new places together, we love the EAT together, we love to drink scotch together, we love to parent Donovan together, we love………

Happy Anniversary Tony
I love you!

XOXOXO
Tiff
