Bellevue, My Home Away From Home

Just a short drive over the I-90 Bridge or the 520 bridge from Seattle, you will arrive in Bellevue, a beautiful, no GORGEOUS city, just East of Seattle. When Tony and I were first married, we lived in Newport Hills, another part of Bellevue. Bellevue is the city that I LOVE to go to because you will find beautiful things of luxury that include, beautiful people, beautiful shopping centers, beautiful food, beautiful architect, beautiful sculptures and a beautiful park.

We had two goals when we last visited Bellevue, spending time in the newly remodeled Bellevue Downtown Park on 4th street and getting my hair shampooed and expertly styled at Obadiah’s O2 Blow Dry Bar located in the Hyatt Building.

Bellevue’s Downtown Park has lived up to the city’s high standards of creating a place that is suitable for every person’s interest. It is provides gorgeous views of the city and is landscaped making it feel like a place of peace and serenity.

Waterfall right in the middle of the park

As my boys enjoyed the park and the play ground that provides fun for all ages and a spray park, I headed to the Hyatt Hotel building to visit one of my old students that I use to teach in cosmetology school. After a week and a half of not shampooing my hair (yes, it is possible, and yes I do shower daily. I just do not shampoo every day) my hair was ready for some attention!

Obadiah Salon and O2 Blow Dry Bar is a perfect place to get not only your hair cut and color done, but they have a special part of the salon located on the first floor of the building that is dedicated to getting an amazing blow out and style. Elise was attentive as she shampooed my hair and we had such a good time chatting and laughing.

Who doesn’t love volume in their hair, am I right ladies?
Check out all of that volume!
Beautiful job Elise!

Her skill and technique definitely brought that volume up to the table and I received so many compliments when I returned to the park to have dinner with my boys.

We ended the night with pizza from Mod Pizza located right next to the park.

Coming here should be a must on your summer things to do! Bellevue park does feature outdoor movies every Tuesday night, but keep in mind because of the renovation it just went through, they located these movies to Hidden Valley Sports Park.

Keep your spirits high for the rest of the week because in just 3 short days, it’s the weekend!!!

XOXOXO
Tiff
