Let's Start This Weekend Off Right!

Ever since I started having a normal weekend off, we have jammed packed our Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays with everything and anything you can possibly imagine. We have hiking trips, camping trips, beach trips, brunch plans, weddings, date nights, and Seattle adventures all jammed into our summer, and I cannot wait to review and tell you all about it!

Yesterday we embarked on our first family Seattle Sounders match of the year that took us to the infamous Century Link Field. We were able to walk through the International District to the field and show Donovan yet, another part Seattle and how diverse it is.

Seattle NEVER disappoints with its fans and I am so proud to say that we, here in the Froese/Phillips family, are strong fans of our Mariners, Seahawks and Sounders.

Just a tip if you go to a Sounders game, what took both Tony and I by surprise is that Century Link field has a STRONG rule against bringing in any purses, bags, and drinks into the field. If you bring in a bag it MUST MUST be in a clear, plastic bag.

In a panic (I didn’t want to walk the 2 miles to the car), I found a couple that ran a hot dog stand right outside of the Team Store in the stadium that had “lockers” for sale to hold your purse for $10. These “lockers” were large Tubberware containers. A little bit sketch, but as I handed her my Kate Spade purse that I bought for less than $100 dollars, she kept reassuring me that they will take good care of it….and surprisingly enough, it was there safe and sound after the game! We did end up buying a clear bag that Tony will carry loud and proud for our next game for $12 dollars.

The energy, the food, the fans and the Seattle weather were all components to a perfect way to spend the weekend! I hope you all had a wonderful Saturday and are enjoying your Sunday!
