Bridges

“We build too many walls and not enough bridges” Isaac Newton

This quote could not describe where I am in my life right now more perfectly! It is easy to build up walls when we begin to feel insecure, sad, or any negative emotion that come our way. It is easy to build walls that keep us from trying new experiences and hold us back from growing with our family and friends. It is now that I have found the importance of how I have the choice to keep my walls down and build bridges to strengthen my relationships, experiences, marriage with Tony, and mother to Donovan and embrace change.

Why am I talking about bridges? Well, we were able to create a memory together as a family, cross the border into Canada AND cross some actual bridges (this included one large, scary one that you forced you to walk right over a large river) at the Capilano Suspension Bridges.

If you have not gone to these bridges, this is something you MUST include on your Christmas tradition list! We felt like we were literally walking to a magical land of dancing lights. Here is some information and tips that I hope that will help you all if you decide to experience this wonderful place.

·         Buy your tickets online! This will ensure that you will skip the line! All you have to do is download them on your phone and they can easily scan them. These tickets allow you all day entrance into the park.

·         This event is called the Canyon Lights and run beginning in December until the end of January. We had decided to go after Christmas to avoid the large crowd, however they do have fun holiday traditions such as cookie decorating and music.

·         Just so you are not shocked like I was, you will need to cross a large bridge in order to get to the suspension bridges. It is somewhat “wobbly” and it can be overwhelming, but the scenery is gorgeous and it does get your adrenaline pumping.

·         Parking is across the street and cost about $5 for about 3 hours.

·         The staff there are AWESOME and extremely friendly!

As we transition from winter into the spring and beginning February, I cannot wait to keep building bridges with new relationships and opportunities for my blog and building a photography business.

Keep your bridges going and your walls down and you will find that your life will begin to grow at its fullest capacity!

XOXO

Tiff
