Seattle is THE Capitol of Coffee and Rain!

Seattle is known for a lot of things, but when I speak to people who are not from our gorgeous city and mention I am from Seattle, they will right away wrinkle their nose and say, rains A LOT there or they will perk up their head and say, how many Starbucks do you have there?

Rain doesn't stop us!
Saturday took us to the unique neighborhood of Capitol Hill in Seattle where we stopped at Starbucks Reserve Roastery and TastingRoom. Located in Capitol Hill for 3 years now, it is now a reputable landmark that welcomes every one of ALL ages. All three of us had our eyes grow wide in wonder as we walked through the large, wood doors into the most beautiful coffee café I have ever seen! Through the hustle and bustle you are greeted right away by the employees as they explain the menu and the flow of the café.

The display of treats, pastries and loaves of bread are beautifully arranged along with copper, eye catching coffee holders (I honestly don’t know what they are called, but they are beautiful). Starbucks had teamed with Tom Douglas to serves his wonderful food so you know when putting two large forces of Seattle together, the results are breath taking and memorable.

I can imagine sitting in that tasting room for HOURS and unfortunately, we were unable to spend a lot of time there due to the amount of people but I hope to go back to spend more time there and explore and taste what they have to offer. My dark chocolate mocha, Tony’s doppio con panna and even Donovan’s chocolate milk were so tasty, that we cannot wait to go again!

It was short walk to our next stop for brunch at TerraPlata. I loved EVERYTHING about this place! The layout, the décor, the table and chairs, and of course the food! They offer pastries and churros as starters and the menu contains mouth watering entrees that both Tony and I could not wait to dig into.

Tony’s carbonare was by far, the tastiest that we could not get enough of and along with my eggs and blood sausage we left there feeling full and happy!

I love family time and we have a lot of it planned this upcoming month with the Holidays upon us. I am sure you all have your weekend family rituals! Ours always seem to include coffee and brunch!

XOXOXO

Tiff
