Balance

Balance is everything that I strive for in my life. Balance with being a good mom and spending quality time with Donovan. Balance with giving attention and love to Tony as his wife. Balance with self-care and giving myself me time by going to the gym, blogging, and shopping. Balance with my friends by brunching, happy hours, and movies.

Balance is something I know that I do not do well at but I sure as hell try! It’s hard to set out date night and sometimes I feel guilty spending time at the gym when I could spend that time with Donovan. But the most I have learned from my life of 32 years is that balance is IMPORTANT in every person’s life. In their marriage, in their child’s life, in their sanity.

There are two important people that have been in Tony’s and my life that we have known for 14 years that have been the greatest examples of balance and genuine love. Stephen and Susie Cohen are two of the greatest people we have had the pleasure of having in our lives. We look up to them in many ways that include parenting, genuine kindness, assertiveness and really keeping your friendships close.

Susie is a true Bellevue fashionista that is always building the confidence in others while doing her job as a personal stylist and while being a friend. I find myself EXTREMELY blessed and lucky to be called her friend and she never fails to make me laugh or amaze me.

Mr. Steve Cohen is the most consistent person I know. He understands the meaning and importance of morals that shape a person into who they are. While continuing to help businesses with their finances as his day time job, he continues his strength in being an amazing father to his son and daughter and shares his wisdom of life with those around him and people soak up everything he has to say!

Along with balance in my life, Tony and I know family time is important but we also take know the importance with time spent with our friends. This last weekend sent me to the brand new and beautiful bar in the W Bellevue Hotel.

I knew right away when it opened that it was going to be perfect spot to meet for drinks and it completed all of my expectations.

Very chic and upscale in their “Living Room Bar” and “The Porch” that is completed with a center fire place and loveseat swings hanging from the ceiling.

GORGEOUS murals everywhere!

The “Library” is another part of the bar that serves as a lit up, playful room for having conversation and fun with those you come with.

Balance is EVERYTHING in our life and I think it is important to find the balance that makes you happy in every aspect of your life. Please take a moment to enjoy your family, cherish your friendships, and care for yourself and do things that make YOU happy, because life is short and finding that true balance will only help you gain beautiful and positive memories.
