The Shopping Guide for a 4 Year Old
Christmas is around the corner! Can-You-Believe-It?!?!?!?!? As
Thanksgiving came upon us, I was already thinking of gift ideas for the people
in my life, mainly Donovan.
Now that Donovan is 4, he really understanding what
Christmas is and why we celebrate it. He knows about the birth of Jesus on
Christmas day, he talks and talks about our Elf on the Shelf (Dump Truck. Yes,
he named him that last year), and he quizzingly looks at our fireplace and
wonder how the heck Santa is going to get through the glass without breaking it
(he is very worried that it will get broken and that daddy will have to fix
it).
While Donovan is extremely blessed with receiving books, toys and
clothes for his birthday and really throughout the year from us or his
grandparents, he is one of THE most gracious and humble little boy that I have
ever met. Which makes Tony and I that much more excited for Christmas day when
we get the see his little face light up while opening his gifts.
Here are the gift ideas that we, along with Santa, have decided to
get him. Hopefully this shopping guide will be of some help to you with little boys!
We bought his Kindle during black Friday for $30 dollars. Being that he is 4, we did not think it was necessary for him to have the Kindle 8, the 7 is only 1 inch smaller! We will be downloading books and children's games for him to use on this while we are traveling in long car rides. We will see if he understands what it is!
Donovan can be VERY specific on what kind of car or new truck he wants and he chose an ambulance truck! On his birthday he kept talking about a crane truck for FIVE months, knowing that he might get it for his birthday. You can imagine his excitement when he opened the gift. Amazon is AMAZING with any type of truck or car you need for reasonably priced!
Who DOESN'T remember this game?!?! I think Tony and I are more excited than D will be and you can believe it that we will be busting this game out the MINUTE he opens it! Cannot wait bring a little of our child hood memories to his childhood.
Scooter (grandparents)
I know it is winter, and he will not be using this for a few months, but we bought him his Strider bike during the winter and he actually practiced using it on our house and garage before he braved the outdoors. So I can imagine this will happen too with the scooter.
Can I just say, D will flip his PANTS when he opens this?!?!?
Toothbrush (stocking stuffer)
Have you been noticing a theme for the last three gifts? Hee hee
The biggest thing that Tony and I have been stressing to D is that Christmas is not for receiving but for giving and celebrating the birth of Jesus. He is SO excited to chose gifts for mommy, daddy, cousin Hudson and cousin Parker!
Happy Holidays everyone!
XOXO
Tiff
